From Johannesburg: Travel North along the N1 toll route to Louis Trichardt (Makhado).
From Makhado: From Louis Trichardt turn west onto the R522 (Route to Vivo). Roughly 30km along this route you will reach Kutama (at the train tracks), after passing through Kutama you will drive over the Sand River. 100m after the Sand river bridge you will see sign posting for Sigurwana and Leshiba. Turn right onto the dirt track as these signs direct and follow the Sigurwana (Not Leshiba) Signs. This dirt track will lead you up the Soutpansberg Mountain to the entrance to the Tolo Wilderness Reserve, the total distance is 12km from the tar road to the entrance but please allow yourself at least 45min of travel time. Here a reserve staff member will welcome you and lead you to your campsite.
